Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

🔒 Privacy First

We don't sell your personal data. Ingredient lists are used to generate meal suggestions, and uploaded photos (when enabled) are processed only for that purpose and are not retained unless you choose to save them.

1. What We Collect

We collect your email address and basic profile information when you sign up (including via Google or Apple), plus the ingredient lists you enter so we can suggest recipes.

2. Photos Are Not Stored

If you snap a photo of your fridge or ingredients, it is processed in the moment to detect ingredients and is not stored on our servers. Privacy first.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to operate DinnerSnap: authenticating you, generating recipe suggestions, and improving the service. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Sign-in Providers

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only your basic account details (name and email) from the provider. We never see your provider password.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely with encryption in transit and at rest, with access controls limiting data to your own account.

6. Cookies & Sessions

We use strictly necessary storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our systems.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will notify you of material changes via the app or email.
